Audi racetrack at the Munich Airport MUC.

The Munich airport, Franz Josef Strauss, is the international airport for the Bavarian capital city of Munich. 48 million passengers take off from and land here every year. In addition to the actual air traffic, the takeoff and landing runways areas also venues for unusual events.

One of these is the Audi test track. For more than five years, we have periodically provided the markings for various trace tracks for the automobile manufacturer Audi.

The requirements for ground markings on racetracks are especially high. In addition to resistance to extreme shear forces, the ground markings must also be able to withstand rubber abrasion, and of course the weather conditions. They must also have the appropriate grip. A ground marking system designed especially for this purpose and based on two components meets all the requirements of the Federation Internationale de Automobile, or FIA, and the FIA standard 3503-2019. The systems we use also meet the requirements of FRHPpa-01 of the Federation Internationale de Motorcyclisme, or FIM, so that motorcycles can use the track as well as cars.

TRANSPORT PROTECTION

Applied as a non-slip coating, carapax offers not only protection against knocks and impacts, but it also ensures that all transported goods stay in their place.

In logistics or cargo, carapax protects the usable areas of trailers, trucks, and transporters. In addition, our system also extends the service life of transport boxes, pallets, and other loading systems.

ISOLATION

carapax offers not only protective coatings but also coatings for thermal and sound insulation. This MID system is used for thermal insulation in roof trusses, facades, or floors in housing construction. The space to be insulated is filled in a dimensionally stable, complete, and gapless manner. This minimizes heat loss and damaging condensation is completely prevented.

In addition to thermal insulation, the system also meets all requirements for the properties of an excellent sound insulation because the stability and flexibility of the material remains throughout the entire service life.

carapax also meets the requirements for fire safety protection of Class E, is mold and mildew resistant, and has better insulation values than commercial insulation.
